A first class tune-up includes a
thorough diagnostic test by our qualified ASE
certified technicians. It is necessary on a regular basis to
assure efficient and safe operation of your vehicle, and affects the
life of your car.
The price you pay will reflect the type of tune-up your vehicle is
receiving. Understanding the different types of tune-ups will go a long
way towards helping you appreciate the level of service that is
provided.
Primarily there are 3 types of tune-ups:
- A Basic Tune-up
- A Major Tune-up
- A Performance Tune-up
Each one provides a different level
of service.
Basic Tune-up
- Involves regular interval maintenance as
specified by the original manufacturer.
- Replacement of spark plugs
- Inspection of the spark plug wires, distributer
cap, distributor rotor & air filter.
- Inspection of the dwell & timing
Major Tune-up
Involves a more detailed
maintenance of the vehicle designed to maximize performance and
efficiency.
- Replacement of spark plugs & spark plug
wires.
- Replacement of distributor cap, distributor
rotor, fuel filter & air filter.
- Inspection of the fuel system, emission system
& ignition system.
- Adjustment of the dwell, timing, & fuel
mixture to OE specs.
Performance Tune-up
The most complete &
beneficial tune-up to your car!
- A questionnaire or survey of your vehicle.
- A test drive to replicate the system.
- The replacement or maintenance of any sub-par
items on your vehicle identified in the diagnostic inspection.
